Dr. Wood-Turner is the Director for the West Virginia University Center for Service and Learning. She received her Doctorate in the field of Educational Leadership Studies at WVU with a focus in Higher Education Administration. She has a Master of Arts in Applied Social Research and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.

Catherine Whitworth is the Community Partner Program Coordinator for the WVU Center for Service and Learning. Catherine brings more than 30 years of experience in human services, training, civic engagement, and public health. She develops and sustains partnerships with non-profit organizations that provide a diverse range of opportunities for students to learn through community engagement.

Program Assistant II / Office Manager
She is the energetic professional who doesn't mind wearing multiple hats. Experienced in handling a wide range of administrative and executive support related tasks. Well organized, flexible and enjoy the administrative challenges of supporting an office of diverse people and a diverse student population.
Beckie is a junior at West Virginia University, studying advertising with a minor in criminology. Beckie writes the newsletter for the Center for Service and Learning, showcasing the work of both campus and community partners. She also serves as the Center’s photographer for a variety of events on campus. Her photos from campus events are then shared on the Center’s social media platforms. Through the planning, promotion and executing a variety of volunteer days, Beckie has gained substantial experience in communicating, collaborating, and providing written and visual work for clientele at the CSL. Amelia Jones is a senior English major with minors in Theatre and German. She is a member of the Student Service Advisory committee and a senator on WVUs student senate currently serves as the AmeriCorps VISTA for the Social Action Clinic. By working directly with students she assists them in the development, research, and implementation of their social action projects.
