Community Engagement Grants

Internal Grant Opportunities

The CSL will award 2 ACE mini-grants of $1,000 each to support service-learning initiatives. Service-learning instructors must apply in conjunction with an official CSL community/campus partner organization. Proposals will outline how the initiative will meet a community identified need while incorporating high quality service-learning for the students involved.  View evaluation rubric.

This grant will begin accepting applications on 9/4 and all applications must be received by 10/14 at 8am.  Application can be accessed here.

Community Engagement grants, formerly known as Public Service grants, are designed to stimulate and support community outreach and engagement projects that benefit the citizens of West Virginia and are available to faculty members. Funding from this program is intended to encourage development of additional support for these projects from other sources in the future as well as scholarly output. The committee will not fund the same project more than once. Funding is provided from the Provost’s Office.

Funding Deadline: 5th Monday of each Spring Semester
