Academic Community Engagement Development Series

This series aims to increase the breadth and quality of academic community engagement at WVU. Goals include:

  • Increase the number of S designated courses and therefore the number of students enrolled in service-learning courses
  • Improve the quality of service-learning course through:

    • Increased strategic reflection incorporated into the classroom

    • Further development of ongoing reciprocal partnerships between faculty and community organizations

  • Increase course-based student participation in engaged scholarship 

  • Increase recognition of academic community engagement practices at WVU
